Lu Kun’s designs have found their way into the wardrobes of top celebrities such as Paris Hilton, who wore one of his designs - a dazzling red and gold cheongsam dress - to last year’s MTV awards. “My intention for the Conrad Shanghai was to go beyond merely designing a uniform - I wanted to create an entire wardrobe concept,” says Lu Kun. “My inspiration was drawn from sources such as the Han Dynasty and the clean sleek architectural lines of the hotel.
